S'inicien programes per a l’atenció a les persones dependents
La regidoria de Benestar Social de l’Ajuntament de Gelidagestiona diversos programes per promocionar l’autonomia personal i l’atenció a les persones en situació de dependència. Durant els anys 2009 i 2010 s’han iniciat aquests programes que ajuden a garantir els principis d’universalitat, prevenció i participació de les persones cuidadores. Per altra banda es garanteix també l’estada a l’entorn el màxim de temps possible, l’accessibilitat als serveis, la qualitat dels serveis i la promoció de l’autonomia personal, entre d’altres principis.
Un d’aquests programes és el Grup de suport a les persones cuidadores. Un grup de suport és un conjunt de persones que es reuneixen en un espai físic de forma habitual per parlar i dialogar, exposar sentiment, emocions, preocupacions sobre la tasca de cura i la persona dependent que tenen a càrrec. L’objectiu principal és que la participació en els grups faci que les persones cuidadores es sentin recolzades en el procés de cuidar, aprenguin dels seus companys i psicològicament es sentin acompanyats/des en la tasca de cura.
El grup l’han format unes deu persones aproximadament. Ha tingut una durada de 13 sessions d’una hora i mitja setmanal i les sessions han estat conduïdes per un psicòleg. El passat dijous 11 de febrer es va clausurar el grup però en aquests moments s’està treballant per la seva continuació mitjançant la creació d’un grup d’ajuda mútua i valorant una nova demanda per l’any vinent.
Un altre programa ha estat el d'Arranjament d'Habitatges per a la gent gran. Aquest programa té com a finalitat instal·lar ajudes tècniques i fer reformes bàsiques en l’habitatge, tant de lloguer com de propietat, de persones grans més vulnerables, per tal de garantir les condicions de seguretat, higiene i habitabilitat mínimes. El programa està finançat per Departament de Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya, l’Àrea de Benestar Social de la Diputació de Barcelona i l’Ajuntament de Gelida.
L’Ajuntament aporta una tercera part del cost de les intervencions realitzades. Gelida ha sol·licitat cinc arranjaments. Els beneficiaris han estat usuaris de Serveis Socials més grans de 65 anys amb dificultats per realitzar les activitats de la vida diària, amb pocs recursos econòmics, amb situació de dependència o mobilitat reduïda o persones majors de vuitanta anys soles i s’ha realitzat un barem de puntuació de totes les sol·licituds rebudes per fer la selecció.
Finalment s’ha realitzat el projecte Serveis Socials Més a Prop, que pretén afavorir l’accés als serveis, l’assistència personal i l’ajuda domiciliària a les persones més grans de 80 anys del municipi que viuen en el seu domicili i que no són usuàries de cap servei social.
Mitjançant professionals diplomats en treball social s’estan realitzan unes 150 entrevistes aproximadament en els domicilis durant els mesos de febrer i març. Entre els objectius del Programa trobem: informar sobre l’oferta de prestacions i serveis, detectar situacions de risc i derivar a la persona de forma immediata als serveis socials municipals en casos d’urgència.
Tots aquests programes per promocionar l’autonomia personal i l’atenció a les persones en situació de dependència de la regidoria de Benestar Social de l’Ajuntament de Gelida s’han realitzat amb la col·laboració del Servei d’Acció Social de l’Àrea de Benestar de la Diputació de Barcelona i Creu Roja Alt Penedès.
